Featured Artist: Mona Cliff
Mona Cliff, (Hanook-gah-neeh/ Spottedcloud) is an enrolled member of the Gros Ventre tribe (A’aninin/Nakota Nations) she is Frozen Clan(Aniiih) and of the Medicine Bear Clan(Nakota) of Ft. Belknap, MT
Mona is mulitsciplinary visual artist, she explores the subject of contemporary Indigenous identity and culture through her use of traditional Native crafting methods such as seed bead embroidery and fabric applique. Beadwork & sewing applique have been a primary foundation of her artist practice. Mona acquired a B.F.A in Printmaking from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.

Jeremy is Associate Professor of Design at the University of Kansas and founder of the Design Outside Studio, a roaming creative classroom that gets students off campus and into natural places that challenge us to design, think and make in new ways. The Studio realizes that the design process is a powerful tool for making things better, more engaging, more clear, for visualizing what if, and for creating positive change. His design work, research and teaching has been recognized by the AIGA, Outdoor Retailer, Fast Company, National Science Foundation, Wall Street Journal and the National Park Service. He is particularly interested in exploring strategies for designing visual interpretative/communication experiences that facilitate engagement, understanding, learning and a stewardship ethic about the natural world. Jeremy loves to travel to wild places with his wife Amy and teenagers: Cash and Ella. Follow his outdoor and creative pursuits @jeremyshellhorn
